The Web Warriors are swinging back into the spotlight with two brand-new, fully revealed character packs—and the community is buzzing about just how strong these releases look.
Some are great. One is Ultimate. And today we’re breaking down why Ultimate Spider-Man might be the hidden gem for your Inhumans roster.
Imma Do My Own Thing

We all know the original Miles Morales. He’s widely considered one of the best 3-threats in the game thanks to his slippery mobility, defensive tools, and that game-swinging extract steal.
Ultimate Spider-Man takes that foundation and dials it up
- More defences
- More mobility
- More offensive options
- All-new superpowers
Yes, you lose access to Venom Blast—the spender that lets OG Miles grab an extract and run—but this version doesn’t need to run.
He’s tougher, hits harder, and punishes anyone who dares swing at him.
Attack him, and you’re staring down unconditional defensive rerolls and a nasty 5-dice counter-strike that can shove you out of position. Ouch.
And his spender? It’s brutal. Not only can it stack Stun and Shock on the target, it can splash 2 damage to nearby enemies. That’s backbreaking in the right setup.
Don’t forget his Range 4 Web Shot either. It’s reliable for generating power, spreads conditions, and lets him threaten the board in ways OG Miles simply couldn’t.
A Better Inhuman

how does Miles 2 slot into the Inhumans? The answer: beautifully.
At first glance, he plays a lot like Miles 1. Under Black Bolt’s leadership, he can Web Swing turn 1 and open with a 7-dice attack that has around a 65% chance to displace the target. That’s power generation, disruption, and pressure all rolled into one.
But where OG Miles would usually Venom Blast and retreat, Ultimate Spider-Man plants his feet. He’s ready to trade blows, punish attackers, and keep the pressure on.
Just like his predecessor, he pairs perfectly with Ms. Marvel for A Better Tomorrow, giving the Inhumans access to devastating early aggression on Crisis setups like Senators.
Where he truly shines, though, is as a straight upgrade to Quicksilver.
Outrunning Quicksilver
The classic Inhuman opener involves shoveling 2 power into Quicksilver, letting him snag an enemy extract Round 1, and then spending the game zipping around, stalling for time. It works—but it leaves you playing evasive with a fragile piece.
Ultimate Spider-Man can run the exact same play with his double Long Move + Web Swing, but unlike Pietro, he doesn’t just vanish afterward.
Instead, he can actually hold his ground, leveraging his defenses and counterstrikes to make the opponent think twice. By Round 2, he can choose:
- Stick with the extract and swing away
- Or pivot aggressively onto nearby Secures—something Quicksilver can’t safely do while holding an extract.
It turns a one-dimensional opener into a flexible, high-pressure strategy that forces your opponent to respect your options.
With Great Power…
Ultimate Spider-Man is the full package:
- A durable 4-threat who shrugs off punishment.
- A reliable damage dealer who can shred clustered enemies.
- A mobile playmaker who keeps your opponent guessing.
Whether you need him as an upgrade for OG Miles or a replacement for Quicksilver, he gives the Inhumans roster a new, dangerous dimension.
Simply put: if you’re looking to step up your Inhumans game, this Spider-Man is truly Ultimate.
Apologies for the lack of articles, we have been moving house and it has eaten all of my focus and energy. Things will pick up again after WTC!
